  we have visited the pub a number of times over the past few months and enjoyed our visits with friends for meals until a couple of weeks ago bank holiday monday we booked an early meal deal but on the night we were told it did not apply even when we were told on booking it did / on the sunday of that week we had booked a sunday lunch for four one starter black pudding/egg came dried out no egg and one beef dinner came uncooked and mainly fat unable cut into it it seems standards have dropped which is a pity as the food served should never have been served from the kitchen..

  Very busy. Not the cheapest Sunday lunch or the most expensive for Barnard Castle but our meal was really lovely. Would defo recommend Sunday lunch.
